Every Saturday morning, believers concerned about Africa meet at Northeast Christian Church on Brownsboro Road to pray, worship and study the Bible. They are from different denominations, countries and church backgrounds.
Standford N. Obi, an attorney in Louisville, is president of the group.
“We hold Africa dear in our hearts and believe that Africa is an important part of God’s plan that all people know Him,” Obi said. “Today, Africa needs our help in prayer and sweat. On Oct. 27, at 4 p.m., we will meet for the Africa Day of Prayer.”
