MIX

MIX, a summer camp for middle school students, will be held at Country Lake Christian Retreat.

Southeast Christian Church’s Student Ministry plans to hold Bible & Beach for high school students and MIX for middle school students this summer.

Student Pastor Matt Erxleben said the ripple effects of Bible & Beach and MIX extend far beyond a weeklong experience.

“Camp has served as a catalyst for our upcoming school years every year,” Erxleben said. “We are just genuinely excited to be able to gather all of our students together from all of our campuses to share the Gospel and provide them the opportunity to engage their friends who don’t know Jesus. As student pastors, we have our eyes on that event and are excited to present an opportunity for our students to engage their friends to hear the Gospel.”

Registration has been pushed back to early March as Southeast continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic in order to make the best decision for the safety of its students.

Bible & Beach

Bible & Beach, Southeast’s annual conference for high school students in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, is set for June 19-24.

The weeklong conference is for students from all Southeast campuses.

From authentic worship to beachfront games, small-group conversations to large-group activities, Bible & Beach is designed to awaken fresh faith and to form new friendships.

MIX

MIX, a four-day camp for middle school students entering sixth, seventh or eighth grade, will be held at Country Lake Christian Retreat in Underwood, Indiana.

It will be held over three sessions: Sunday through Wednesday, July 18-21, for Indiana, Southwest, Elizabethtown, Bullitt County and South Louisville campus students; Thursday through Sunday, July 22-25, for Blankenbaker Campus students; and Monday through Thursday, July 26-29, for Crestwood, La Grange, River Valley, SE Beechmont and SE Multination campus students.

MIX engages middle school students through interactive and fun activities coupled with Bible-based teaching and small group interaction.

Erxleben said MIX, which typically is held in June, was moved to July to serve as the launch of a new school year of student ministry.

Both MIX and Bible & Beach partner with Christ In Youth, an organization helping students see the call of Christ in their lives and potential as Kingdom workers, to provide the camp’s programming.
