Author and Bible teacher Beth Moore is bringing her Living Proof Live tour to Southeast Christian Church Aug. 28-29, 2020. Tickets are on sale now.
“If you want to hear a specific message, birthed from prayer from a woman who has really followed Jesus for a long time, who will encourage you in your faith and challenge you to do more with it, then this conference is for you,” Southeast’s Blankenbaker Campus Women’s Ministry Associate Tiana Miller said.
Throughout the weekend, women will worship together with Christian music artist Travis Cottrell, connect with other women of all ages and backgrounds and learn more about opportunities to support God’s work around the world, enjoy time with new and old friends and enjoy a weekend of Spiritual rejuvenation, all while digging deep into the Word of God.
“The team and I pray earnestly before each event to serve with everything we’ve got, withholding nothing, as if it were the last time we might ever get the privilege to worship, to share the Word of God and to express the love of Christ,” Moore said.
At each Living Proof Live event, Moore delivers a unique Biblical message for the city in which she teaches.
“It’s a message for the whole church,” Miller said. “We hope women will leave with a shared focus on what’s most important: knowing and sharing Jesus. Beth has a gift for research, and she is truly a woman of God’s Word. We know whatever her message is, it will challenge and encourage with the power of Scripture.”
But Southeast’s Women’s Ministry hopes the event will be more about what happens after Moore leaves than the weekend itself.
“We have an opportunity to use this conference to connect with so many women in our city,” Miller said. “I pray that the women who attend will leave with a greater appreciation for God’s Word and a greater value of community, and will be better equipped to be ministers of the Gospel, wherever they are.”
In August, members of the Blankenbaker Campus Women’s Ministry had the opportunity to attend Moore’s Living Proof Live conference in Cincinnati. The team served as prayer volunteers, praying with women who had come to the event from all over the country.
“I had the chance to pray with a woman whose church was considering its third church split,” Miller said. “It was so humbling to see her come forward and hear a woman I had never met before be so vulnerable. It was the most impactful part of the whole weekend—a moment to set aside everything else and pray with my sister in Christ.”
By the authenticity of Moore’s teaching, worship and community with other women, this weekend is expected to be an “incubator for future ministry.”
“I can’t wait to see how the Lord will use an event like this in the lives of women in our city,” Miller said.
Doors open Friday, Aug. 28, at 5:30 p.m. Worship starts at 7 p.m. and the session ends at 9:30 p.m. Doors open Saturday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 a.m.; worship starts at 8:30 a.m. and the session ends at 12:15 p.m.
