Southeast Christian Church Pastor Dave Stone’s last weekend preaching as a pastor on staff at Southeast will be May 25-26, and to celebrate what God has done through the ministry of Stone and his family, Southeast has two events planned.
“We want to do some things to express our appreciation to Dave and his family for 30 faithful years of ministry, but also really to express our appreciation to God for how He has used them,” Senior Pastor Kyle Idleman said.
Dinner & Roast with Dave Stone
Terry Meiners will host a night of fun and laughter. The ticketed event will include special guest speakers including family, friends, current and previous staff members, hysterical throwback and never-before seen outtake videos as well as fellow pastors Gene Appel, Rick Rusaw and Tim Harlow.
The Dinner & Roast with Dave Stone will be held Monday, May 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the upper Fellowship Hall at Southeast’s Blankenbaker Campus.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Spire, a ministry that encourages and equips leaders, teams and churches who inspire a movement of healthy growing churches.
Tickets are $50 each or $400 for a table of eight. Seating is limited, so register early at www.southeastchristian.org/events.
Night of Reflection and Celebration
This special night with family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary at the Blankenbaker Campus.
“We’re going to have a great night of celebration,” Idleman said. “We’ve got some special guests coming, and we will have a lot of fun celebrating what God has done through Dave and how God has used him to impact so many of us.”
Crestwood Campus Pastor Greg Allen will host the night that will include special guest speakers and revisit key Southeast moments spanning the last 30 years.
The night will include a time for worship as well as two songs from Mac Powell, founding member and lead singer of Third Day, and other very special guests.
The event is free and open to the public, but general admission tickets are required and are available at www.southeast
