Orphan Care Alliance is holding Miles For Hope, a virtual walk/run, throughout the month of May to raise awareness about children in foster care.
The goal of Miles For Hope is to have 10,000 individuals walk one mile to represent the 10,000 children in foster care throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
“I am truly excited for this event as we work to bring awareness and a voice to our foster children,” said OCA Executive Director Darren Washausen. “There are many ways to support and care for children and families involved in foster care. Helping these children, foster families, and birth families to be successful in society will strengthen our communities.”
OCA’s mission is to equip, connect and mobilize Christians to serve vulnerable children and families.
Individuals can complete the virtual walk/run on their own time while practicing social distancing. To sign up, visit www.orphancarealliance.org/milesfor
