Walking outside is good for your body and your spirit. Schedule 20 minutes of exercise each day.

Southeast Christian Church’s Sports & Fitness Center reopened June 15.

During the initial phase, the facility will be limited to 33% of its normal capacity and only open to cardholders 14 and older.

“We are excited to announce that the Sports & Fitness Center has opened,” said Christi Arnette, fitness director. “Please be flexible with us as we strive to regather with excellence. We understand how important it is to follow health guidelines, and we will be implementing new practices to ensure a healthy and safe environment.”

The weight room, cardio room and track are open with limited capacities.

Group fitness classes will remain online and are available on the Sports & Fitness Facebook page.

Youth baseball and girls softball began this week, and adult coed and men’s softball and adult sand volleyball will begin the week of June 29.

All gathering spaces are closed: the food court, locker room, gym courts for basketball, pickleball and volleyball and the racquetball courts. This includes the children’s playroom, childcare and game room.

Visitors are encouraged to wear a mask and bring their own towel, mat and/or water bottle.

There is no towel service at this time, and vending machines and water fountains are closed. Water bottle filling stations are available.
